Hot & Toasty Steak Sandwich



Indulge in the irresistible combination of tender steak, melted cheese, and caramelized onions encased in golden, toasty bread.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of steak cooked to preference
  • 2 slices of bread preferably ciabatta or sourdough
  • 2 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions:

Preheat a pan over medium heat

Spread butter on one side of each bread slice

Place one slice of bread butter-side down on the pan

Layer the provolone cheese on top of the bread in the pan

Place the cooked steak on top of the cheese

Spread caramelized onions over the steak

Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on the other slice of bread

Place the second bread slice on top of the steak, butter-side up

Toast the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping once

Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve hot
