This Chickpea Shawarma Dip is a tasty and creamy vegan dip that tastes like traditional shawarma. You can serve it at parties or get-togethers or just eat it as a snack whenever you want.
Ingredients:
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Pita bread or vegetables, for serving
Instructions:
Put garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a food processor along with the chickpeas
Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make the mixture smooth
Pour olive oil and water into the processor while it's running until the dip is the consistency you want
Put the dip in a bowl to serve, and then top it with chopped parsley
You can eat this with vegetables or pita bread
